Sustainable agriculture supply chain network design considering water‐energy‐food nexus using queuing system: A hybrid robust possibilistic programming

Due to the nature of agricultural and food industry, management production, storage, transportation, waste disposal environmental effects their are great importance. To deal with sustainability issues linked supply chains, we propose in this study a mathematical model design sustainable chain highly perishable product (strawberry). The is multiperiod, multiproduct multiobjective MINLP program that takes into consideration economic, social objectives cover all aspects sustainability. In addition, G/M/S/M queuing system developed for transportation harvested products between facilities first time. Since real-world problems related industries such as agriculture inherently uncertain, model, important parameters problem considered uncertain using fuzzy sets theory hybrid robust possibilistic programming developed. Epsilon constraint approach converts single-objective one Lagrangian relaxation method used effectively solve on large scale. A case Iran provided investigate results discuss solutions. Finally, sensitivity analysis performed identify impacts solution. According analysis, equipping greenhouses drip irrigation solar panels greenhouses, respectively, have greatest impact improving target functions. Recommendations Resource Managers Multiobjective optimization shows trade-offs among conflicting objective function assists decision-making enhance industry. Focus fresh will lead less waste. use helps minimize water energy consumption CO2 emission.
